Elina Onitskansky is the Founder & CEO of Ilant Health, a value-based approach to obesity management and cardiometabolic health purpose-built to work with employers and health plans. Ilant combines proprietary analytics, an integrated clinical team, purpose-built technology, and peer-based support to drive clinical and financial outcomes. Elina is passionate about increasing access, affordability, and equity in healthcare and has brought prior experiences as Head of Strategy at Molina and an Associate Partner at McKinsey together with her lived experience in obesity to drive change. Elina graduated Harvard Business School with Distinction and Harvard College Magna Cum Laude.
Q: What motivates you to continue working towards change each day?
A: Health has immense impact—on our lives, our families, our communities, and our economy. There is hardly a condition more central to our health—or more misunderstood and mistreated—than obesity and metabolic health. That has to change.
Q: What accomplishment(s) are you most proud of from 2023?
A: We launched Ilant’s model: claims analytics to identify total cost of care reductions with obesity treatment, clinical decision support to match individuals to treatment, comprehensive care team & peer-based support to drive engagement and outcomes.
