Jayodita Sanghvi, PhD, leads Data Science at Included Health. Included Health strives to improve the standard of healthcare, by guiding members through the system and delivering outsized care. Jayodita and her team enable this by enhancing the digital experience with personalization, recommendations, and automation. Today, healthcare often feels like an obstacle course. She imagines an experience that is easy, knows you, and empowers you to higher outcomes. Jayodita has been at Included Health for 10 years. Prior, Jayodita earned her PhD at Stanford University and Postdoc at UC Berkeley in computational simulations of living systems. She built the first gene-complete simulation of a cell.
Q: What motivates you to continue working towards change each day?
A: I am motivated by our members’ stories. I enjoy helping people feel empowered, get better access to care, and get higher quality care. I love to do the trace back from their stories to see how data and technology are helping make the system better!
Q: What accomplishment(s) are you most proud of from 2023?
A: I am proud of the impact we delivered to members in 2023. My team’s work helped drive ~$250M in healthcare savings and increase cancer screening rates by ~20-24%, diabetes screening by ~5%, flu vaccination rates by almost ~20%, and more!
