EQUITY ADVOCATES

Leaders who are advancing context-centered approaches that address health inequities and injustices

Kate Steinle

Chief Clinical Officer
FOLX Health

Kate Steinle is a Nurse Practitioner and Chief Clinical Officer at FOLX Health, who has been providing sexual and reproductive healthcare in NYC for over a decade. Kate has led the implementation of many clinical services, and believes that the lived experience of the most marginalized in our communities should always be the ultimate guide of how to provide care. Kate believes healthcare can be a place of radical transformation and empowerment, for both those who access care and for the providers of the care. Kate’s clinical practice is based on listening with intent and responding with kindness, clarity and authenticity.

Q: What motivates you to continue working towards change each day?

A: Building a healthcare model that has helped members create the most affirming, empowering, healthiest, and joyful lives is the strongest motivator to keep expanding on that model to reach more and more people.

Q: What accomplishment(s) are you most proud of from 2023?

A: In 2023 we launched our primary care and mental health service lines, became in-network with insurance plans, and worked directly with employers to bring FOLX on as an employee benefit.
