Healthcare providers that have gone above and beyond to deliver digitally-enabled care

Kathryn Boger

Co-Founder + Chief Clinical Officer
InStride Health

Kathryn is a board-certified child and adolescent clinical psychologist who has devoted her career to helping children and teens with anxiety and OCD. In 2013, she co-developed the McLean Anxiety Mastery Program (MAMP) at McLean Hospital, and in 2021, she co-founded InStride Health with the mission of increasing access to insurance-backed, evidence-based care for children, adolescents, and young adults with anxiety and OCD. She has published peer-reviewed journal articles, delivered regional and national talks (including a TEDx), provided training to hospitals and schools and authored the children’s book, Step by Step, about facing fears and being brave.

Q: What motivates you to continue working towards change each day?

A: I have witnessed too many children stuck on long waitlists and families paying out of pocket to get their child behavioral health care. We have treatments that work, but most families can't access them. I have dedicated my career to changing that.

Q: What accomplishment(s) are you most proud of from 2023?

A: I co-authored a peer-reviewed publication, demonstrating that virtual CBT is as effective as in-person for youth with anxiety and OCD, and I wrote a children’s book, Step by Step, about being brave and facing fears.
