Lauren Berson is an exec turned entrepreneur with 20 years of experience building products, and communities. Lauren is the founder and CEO of Conceive, a digital fertility and pregnancy support platform aiming to change fertility outcomes through 24/7 text-based care via nurses, peer coaches, and curated community. Her focus on this problem is deeply personal. She welcomed her daughter into the world after 3 years filled with heartbreak, misinformation, and failed treatment. Prior to Conceive, Lauren was VP, Global Head of Strategy and M&A at WW (formerly Weight Watchers) and Senior Partner at Andreessen Horowitz (a16z). She is an active angel investor.
Q: What motivates you to continue working towards change each day?
A: After an isolating and confusing fertility journey, my mission is to ensure no one else goes through what I did. Studies show having support can improve fertility outcomes and hearing from members every day that we're improving their lives is proof.
Q: What accomplishment(s) are you most proud of from 2023?
A: We changed members’ lives—61% of members got pregnant within 6 months (Premium members 3x more likely) and we improved feelings of support by 71%. We grew NPS to 75, customer satisfaction to 97%, and were named a Fast Company Most Innovative Company.
